Did you know that International Self-Care Day originated over a decade ago in the UK as an awareness campaign to promote the practice of self-care as a 7 day a week, 24 hours a day practice? Therefore the date of July 24th!
Celebration Speaker: Zhou Fang is the founder and principal consultant of Intersectional Group LLC, a leadership, people and culture practice with a focus on intersectionality, empathy, compassion, intentionality, as well as curiosity.
Honoring: Dr. Desireé (Desi) McCue DNP, MBA, RN, FACHE, CENP | A career dedicated to helping women with over 25 years in healthcare and 14 years of progressive experience in clinical and non-clinical leadership within healthcare environments, She is a solutions-driven executive who is passionate about creating inclusive and engaged healthcare cultures.
“I think women can be afraid to advocate for themselves due to cultural norms. Some women fear if they advocate for themselves they may seem pushy... However now is the time to advocate for yourself and other women in your community. If you need help, reach out to another woman. A good advocate won’t take your voice but amplify it.”
